Milford, NH — Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions, Inc. attended the 2018 FIRST Supplier Summit in July, and was proud to receive recognition as a 20-year supplier. The summit was hosted by Dean Kamen, the founder of the FIRST organization. It was an opportunity to network, meet some of the FIRST robotic teams/team representatives and observe them demonstrate this past year’s challenge and their team’s solution. As a supporter, we had the opportunity to drive the robots, and meet with the students who created them, discuss their challenges, and successes in the FIRST robotics season. Afterwards, a dinner with keynote speakers from the leadership of the FIRST organization, board members, organizers and an address by a Dean’s student. Studies show favorable metrics of FIRST students pursuing higher education in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields.
